Within the framework of supporting scientific and research activities and promoting a culture of creativity and excellence in the life sciences, The College of Life Sciences honors the winners of the Dr. Ahmed Al-Bustan Award for Best Scientific Poster
The College of Life Sciences held an awards ceremony to honor the winners of the Best Scientific Poster Award presented at the 4th Kuwait International Conference on Life Sciences, which took place from November 11-12, 2025. The winners were honored on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the College of Life Sciences, in the presence of the Acting Dean of the College of Life Sciences, Dr. Ahmed Rashid Al-Lafi; the Acting Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Research, and Graduate Studies, Dr. Tariq Al-Shatti; the Head of the Conference Organizing Committee, Dr. Qasim Saleh; the Acting Head of the Department of Communication Disorders, Dr. Sanaa Ahmed Al-Bustan; and a number of academics and award winners.
It is worth noting that the family of Dr. Ahmed Al-Bustan contributed financially to the accompanying awards. This support aims to encourage researchers and students participating in the conference and motivate them to achieve scientific excellence. This initiative also comes within the framework of supporting scientific and research activities and promoting a culture of creativity and excellence in the life sciences, in recognition of his scientific and academic contributions.
On this occasion, Dr. Lamis Ahmed Al-Bustan, Acting Head of the English Department at the Faculty of Arts, stated that this contribution affirms her father, the late Dr. Ahmed Al-Bustan's, message of prioritizing education and self-development. She also expressed her gratitude to the Faculty of Life Sciences for providing the opportunity to present this award. In this context, Dr. Al-Lafi congratulated the award winners and thanked the generous Al-Bustan family for presenting this valuable award, which reflects their honorable image as a family that supports science.
