The exhibition was organized and supervised by the course instructor, Dr. Aseel Al-Muqbil, a faculty member in the Department of Communication Disorders, and took place at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in the college lobby. The exhibition began with a welcoming speech by student Rahaf Abdulrazzaq, who thanked the attendees and the supervising instructor. She also provided an overview of the booths' content and the information and practical demonstrations visitors would find. Each booth then presented its project to the visitors. It is worth noting that this exhibition aims to raise awareness about the issues of the deaf and hard of hearing, highlighting two important topics: hearing loss and sign language, and the pivotal role this language plays in supporting communication and empowering this group within society. The event also includes a series of educational and practical booths prepared by students enrolled in the course, offering explanations on a wide range of topics related to the differences in sign languages between countries and their importance in expression and communication. From this perspective, this exhibition is part of academic efforts aimed at spreading community awareness and encouraging students to present impactful initiatives that serve diverse groups and shed light on their issues. The College of Life Sciences is committed to supporting such causes, as it offers academic disciplines that address the needs of these segments of society, in addition to its ongoing commitment to engaging with community members and strengthening its social role.
