Bachelor's Program

Program Educational Objective:


Graduates of the B.Sc. program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence will be able to:
I. Engage in productive careers equipped with the knowledge of computing, data science
and artificial intelligence to develop and manage data- driven and data-intensive systems
that support digital transformation for public and private organizations.
II. Excel in their workplace by communicating effectively, functioning effectively within a
team, and practicing professional ethics with a sense of social responsibility.
III. Adapt to the challenges of the new technologies in data centric computing, and to
pursue life-long learning, broaden their professional knowledge and/or pursue graduate
studies.
IV. Contribute to Kuwait workforce with excelled graduates in Data Science and Artificial
Intelligence.

Program Details

The Data Science & Artificial Intelligence program prepares the students to excel in the fields of data science and artificial intelligence by providing them with fundamental knowledge, practical techniques, and the skills needed to address local and global challenges in an increasingly data-centric world.

The study plan for the program is based on practical and theoretical materials in many topics, most notably:

  • Understanding complex data sets and developing advanced analytical skills.
  • Programming and computational techniques for data science and artificial intelligence.
  • Development of machine learning models and building high-quality data-intensive prediction systems.
  • Management and analysis of large-scale datasets in big data systems.
  • Data visualization to support decision-making processes.
  • Ethical practices in artificial intelligence and data usage.
  • External field training, in addition to a final capstone project.
Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements

Priority for admission is given to students from the science specialization in high school who
have the highest equivalent score, calculated based on the following weights:
            • 70% of the high school percentage
            • 15% of the English language aptitude test result
            • 15% of the mathematics aptitude test result

        • Language of study is English
