Assessment, Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Unit

The academic Accreditation unit is one of the key units that works toward the advancement of the Department and College academic level. It coordinates all academic and administrative procedures for obtaining academic accreditation, as well as provides academic services for the scientific departments and faculty members to prepare them for the academic accreditation.

 

Unit Responsibilities:

  • Initiate the start of the academic accreditation project at the college level.
  • Follow up the communication between the academic accreditation agency or foreign universities that are accredited by universal institutions, in collaboration with the office of Vice President for Academic Affairs (Academic Accreditation Office)
  • Follow up on preparing assessment files, which contain the academic programs, administrative and technical affairs of the College.
  •  Work on providing financial, human resources, technical needs required for academic accreditation.
  • Providing the data required by the assessment file for academic accreditation.
  • Provide data and statistics related to college and students, to the office of the Vice President of Planning.
  • Complete the annual report for the unit.
  • Provide surveys for students and College faculty members in collaboration with the Center of Evaluation & Measurement.\
  • Prepare reports related to academic accreditation staff.
  • Organize workshops and lectures for academic accreditation and provide special consultation to faculty members about academic accreditation.
  • Direct supervision of the academic accreditation process.
  • Collect data and documents related to academic accreditation.
  • Represent college in international conferences related to academic accreditation.
  • Build work plans and budget to maintain the academic accreditation and supervise its execution. And determine the financial costs required to complete the task of obtaining academic accreditation.
  • Revise and edit programs to improve it.
  • Documenting the vision, mission, goals and values of the college and academic programs.

  • Ensure the faculty members' revision of assessment results preparing periodic reports to academic accreditation agencies.
  • Coordinates with the office of Vice President for Scientific affairs to follow up on the academic accreditation programs in college.
  • Following up the academic accreditation process in the scientific departments and study programs of the college, which have obtained academic accreditation.
  • Collecting and archiving all papers and documents related to the academic accreditation process and following up the scientific departments that have obtained academic accreditation and ensuring the continuity of the obtainment for accreditation status.
  • Develop a comprehensive plan for the procedures for obtaining academic accreditation.
  • Promote education and awareness related to the academic accreditation agencies in the college.
  • Contact and coordinate with foreign evaluators and academic accreditation delegations to set up the requirements for the evaluation process. Coordinates with the office of Vice President for Scientific affairs to follow up on the academic accreditation programs in college and follow up the implementation of resolutions and recommendations of the scientific affairs committee in the university related to academic accreditation.
