Adding to Kuwait University’s record of academic accomplishments in scientific research, student Hind Al-Duaij from the Department of Information Sciences, College of Life Sciences, participated in the 8th International Conference on Information Science and Systems (ICISS 2025), hosted by the University of Oxford, UK, in September 2025.
She presented a research paper titled:
“Exploratory Analysis and Prediction of Artificial Intelligence Tools’ Performance in Higher Education.”

It is worth noting that this achievement aligns with national initiatives aimed at advancing modern technologies, as the government continues to make significant efforts in the field of artificial intelligence in step with global developments.

In this context, Kuwait University launched the Bachelor’s program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence under the Department of Information Sciences, along with the Master’s program in Computer Information Systems (MSCIS) — both of which have contributed to preparing outstanding national talent in this vital field.

On this occasion, the Department of Information Sciences affirmed that Al-Duaij’s participation represents a distinguished example of the university’s support for scientific research and encouragement of national talents to excel and participate in international academic forums. The department also noted that the selection of her research for presentation at Oxford reflects the high quality of scientific work produced at Kuwait University and underscores its strong presence in the global academic arena.

It is also noteworthy that the University of Oxford ranks fourth worldwide, following Harvard, MIT, and Stanford, highlighting the significance and prestige of this event within the international scientific community.
