As part of the collaboration between the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) and Kuwait University, The College of Life Sciences held a workshop on the use of artificial intelligence for faculty members.
Within the framework of ongoing cooperation between the College of Life Sciences at Kuwait University and the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), a training workshop entitled “From Prompting to Context Engineering: Building AI Systems for Education” was organized. The workshop was presented by expert Niall McNulty from the University of Cambridge and attended by the Head of the Consulting and Training Office, Mrs. Nouf Al-Fadagh, and several faculty members. It took place at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
This workshop is part of a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills of faculty members and improving the quality of education by using the latest technologies in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). It focused on enabling participants to understand the shift towards direct interaction with artificial intelligence technologies and to build integrated educational systems that are tailored to the specific nature of academic content. The workshop's main themes included the power of context in building AI systems, live demonstrations, AI-powered lesson plans, and the integration of smart tools into the system. Integrated Education.
It is worth noting that this workshop is one of several designed to develop faculty members' skills in utilizing artificial intelligence tools in the educational process. On this occasion, the administration of the College of Life Sciences affirmed that this initiative supports the development of modern teaching skills and aligns with the university's commitment to fostering innovation and creating a cutting-edge learning environment.
