Kuwait University has added another academic achievement to its record in the field of scientific research. Student Hind Al-Duaij, from the Department of Information Science at the College of Life Sciences, participated in the 8th International Conference on Information Science and Systems (ICISS 2025), hosted by Oxford University in the United Kingdom in September 2025. She presented a research paper titled "Exploration and Prediction of the Performance of Artificial Intelligence Tools in Higher Education."
It is worth noting that this achievement aligns with national initiatives aimed at developing modern technologies. The government is making significant efforts in the field of artificial intelligence to keep pace with global developments. In this context, Kuwait University launched a Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence program within the Department of Information Science, alongside a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems (MSCIS) program, which has contributed to preparing distinguished national talent in this field.
On this occasion, the Department of Information Science affirmed that student Hind Al-Duaij's participation represents a shining example of the university's support for scientific research and its encouragement of national talent to excel and participate in international academic forums. The department also noted that the selection of her research for presentation at the Oxford conference reflects the high quality of scientific research conducted at Kuwait University and underscores its presence on the international academic stage.
