In Collaboration Between the College of Life Sciences and the Public Authority for Youth
Abb’er Club Organizes a “First Aid” Workshop

In cooperation with the Public Authority for Youth, the Abb’er Club at the College of Life Sciences organized a workshop titled “First Aid”, presented by Dr. Sadeq Khaled Karam.
The event was attended by Prof. Ahmed Rashid Al-Lafi, Acting Dean of the College of Life Sciences; Prof. Jassim Al-Hamdan, Acting Dean of Student Affairs; Mr. Saleh Al-Musallam, Administrative Director of the College; Dr. Hadeel Al-Ayyad, Club Supervisor; and a large number of students.
The workshop took place on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Roman Theater, during the university activity period.
At the beginning of the event, Fajer Al-Sayed Ahmed, President of Abb’er Club, welcomed the attendees, affirming that the club aims to organize lectures and workshops that benefit students. She also thanked the Public Authority for Youth for their cooperation, noting that this would not be the last collaboration between the two. She then introduced the workshop presenter, Dr. Sadeq Karam.
During the session, Dr. Karam highlighted the importance of raising health awareness among students and equipping them with basic skills to handle emergency situations. He explained the definition of first aid and provided practical demonstrations on how to respond to cases of choking, suffocation, and airway obstruction.
At the end of the workshop, Dr. Karam was honored by Prof. Al-Lafi and Dr. Al-Ayyad in recognition of his efforts to spread first aid awareness and promote its importance among youth.
