Interactive AI Workshop for University Students Organized by ClickIT and ACM at Kuwait University's College of Life Sciences, in Collaboration with Coded Academy
ClickIT Club, affiliated with the Department of Information Science, in collaboration with the Kuwait University ACM Student Chapter, organized an interactive workshop on artificial intelligence in partnership with Coded Academy. The workshop targeted Kuwait University students with the aim of introducing them to the fundamentals of AI and its practical applications. The goal was to empower students with a modern understanding of AI concepts and provide them with the tools to support their academic and professional development.
The workshop was delivered by Mr. Ali Al-Fadhli, Program Coordinator at Coded Academy, who began with an introductory presentation on AI, explaining how it "learns" through data and algorithms to make decisions or perform tasks in a way that mimics human thinking.
Participants then moved on to the practical portion focused on Prompt Engineering, which was introduced as the art of guiding AI models to produce accurate and effective outputs.
In the same context, the workshop discussed the difference between ChatGPT, a language-based conversational AI model, and an AI Agent, which can independently perform complex tasks such as scheduling, file management, and interacting with various systems. A demonstration of AI tools that can assist students in their academic journey was also presented.
On this occasion, Dr. Shaikha Al-Khader, supervisor of ClickIT Club, stated:
"We at ClickIT are proud to offer innovative educational opportunities. We continuously strive to create an inspiring environment that equips students with future-ready skills and enables them to explore the practical and purposeful capabilities of artificial intelligence."
