In support of the principle of community partnership with the private sector and the goal of preparing a distinguished generation, Kuwait University, represented by the College of Life Sciences, hosted the launch of the fifth edition of the “Kuwait Codes” initiative. This non-profit initiative aims to teach essential technological skills to high school students, laying the foundation for a rising generation capable of facing challenges through technology.

The initiative reflects the private sector’s engagement in supporting community projects, with generous sponsorship from Zain Telecommunications, Kuwait Finance House, Agility, Alghanim Industries, media sponsorship from Kuwait News and Kuwait Times, and digital sponsorship by Add Effect.

At the outset, the co-founder and CEO Ahmed Marafi stated that the “Kuwait Codes” initiative has benefited 3,200 students in past years and continues to reap the rewards of their success stories. He noted that thanks to the generous hosting by Kuwait University’s College of Life Sciences, the initiative was launched today, supported once again for the fourth consecutive year by leading companies in Kuwait’s private sector.

Meanwhile, Dr. Hanadi Abdulsalam, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Research, and Graduate Studies at the College of Life Sciences, stated that since its launch in 2022, this initiative has become a leading platform for empowering students with programming and modern technology skills. Over the past years, Kuwait University has hosted more than 3,200 male and female students through this initiative, reflecting the passion of Kuwaiti youth and their readiness to explore the horizons of the digital future. The university continues to support students in their educational and technical journey as the fifth edition gets underway.

It is worth noting that the “Kuwait Codes” initiative specializes in teaching high school students through a schedule full of activities and workshops focused on training participants and equipping them with the necessary skills to enter the world of programming and modern technologies with confidence and professionalism.
