Workshop on "Managing the Course Assessment File"

The Office of the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Research, and Graduate Studies at the College of Life Sciences organized a workshop entitled "Managing the Course Assessment File" on Monday afternoon, April 28, 2025, at the college premises.

The workshop was presented by Dr. Rania Al-Awadi, a faculty member from the Department of Information Sciences. She began by welcoming the attendees and then outlined the objectives of the workshop, which focused on sharing the current practices used by the Department of Information Sciences to manage Course Assessment Files (CAFs) in support of academic accreditation efforts. Dr. Al-Awadi also explained Student Outcomes (SOs), assessment methods, and how to utilize the SharePoint platform to organize CAFs effectively.

Dr. Al-Awadi emphasized that the workshop aims to enhance faculty members' understanding of documentation and evaluation processes, facilitating the tracking of student performance and learning outcomes. Additionally, it provides an organized methodology that supports accreditation committees and eases the evaluation and continuous improvement of academic programs.

At the conclusion of the workshop, Dr. Hanadi Abdulsalam, Acting Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Research, and Graduate Studies, honored Dr. Rania Al-Awadi in appreciation of her valuable efforts and contribution to the success of the workshop.
