College of Life Sciences Participates in National Celebrations at Kuwait University

In the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Nader Abdullah Al-Jallal, and under the patronage and attendance of the Director of Kuwait University, Professor Dr. Dina Mosaed Al-Mulaim, Kuwait University organized a major national celebration on the occasion of the 65th National Day and the 35th Liberation Day of the State of Kuwait, under the slogan “Forever My Homeland, a Source of Pride and a Cradle of Knowledge.” The celebration took place over two days, February 4 and 5, 2026, and witnessed wide attendance.

The university’s colleges participated through dedicated booths, each distinguished by its own theme and activities. The Acting Dean of the College of Life Sciences, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Lafi, attended the event along with the Administrative Director Mr. Saleh Al-Musallam, a number of academic and administrative staff members, and a large turnout of interested students. The participation emphasized the importance of strengthening values of loyalty and national belonging through celebrating such national occasions and expressing joy in a manner that reflects pride in the homeland.

In addition, both Abber Club, affiliated with the Department of Communication Disorders Sciences, and NutriViva Club, affiliated with the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the College of Life Sciences, participated with informational booths. They showcased the clubs’ achievements over the past period and explained to visitors the importance of their specializations and their relevance to the labor market.
