College of Life Sciences Hosts Lecture Entitled “Professional Ethics, Corruption Crimes and Reporting Thereof”

The College of Life Sciences at Kuwait University hosted a lecture entitled “Professional Ethics, Corruption Crimes and Reporting Thereof”, presented by Dr. Khaled Saleh Al-Rashidi, Assistant Professor of Criminal Law at the College of Law at Kuwait University. 

During the lecture, Dr. Al-Rashidi stressed the importance of adhering to professional ethics in various fields of work, and its role in reducing corruption crimes and enhancing transparency. He also reviewed the most prominent legal and procedural mechanisms for reporting corruption crimes, with a focus on the importance of protecting whistleblowers and ensuring their safety in work environments. In turn, Dr. Dhari Adel Al-Huwail, a faculty member in the Department of Information Sciences at the College of Life Sciences and course instructor, stressed that organizing such lectures comes within the framework of the college’s keenness to promote a culture of integrity and professional responsibility among students, and to link the theoretical aspects they learn in the curricula with the challenges of practical reality, explaining that the lecture provided a valuable opportunity for students to learn about the legal and professional aspects related to corruption, which enhances their readiness to face such challenges in their future careers.
