As part of Kuwait University’s strategy to achieve a sustainable environment,
the Office of Consultation and Training organized a course titled “Environmental Project Management” at the College of Life Sciences.

The Office of Consultation and Training at the College of Life Sciences held a training course titled “Environmental Project Management” in collaboration with the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy. The course was delivered by Dr. Mohammed Al-Alyan, a faculty member from the Department of Environmental Sciences, College of Life Sciences. It took place from Sunday, October 5, to Thursday, October 9, 2025, in the college’s reception hall.
The course covered several key topics, including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), environmental legislation and history in Kuwait, and the entities responsible for these legislations. Dr. Al-Alyan also discussed the authority and responsibilities of the Environment Public Authority (EPA) in Kuwait. He explained environmental project management tools such as life cycle analysis, risk management, and discharge efficiency analysis, in addition to reviewing Kuwaiti environmental laws and regulations and the specialists involved, with an explanation of the environmental valuation equation.
On this occasion, Ms. Nouf Al-Fadagh, Head of the Office of Consultation and Training, stated that these specialized courses fall within the office’s continuous efforts to develop and enhance the skills and capabilities of employees in the environmental sector of the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy. She added that the office always strives to achieve a positive and lasting impact through these programs, affirming its readiness to organize specialized courses for all ministries and institutions, stemming from its belief in the importance of collaboration and continuous development.
In conclusion, the trainees were honored by Prof. Ahmed Rashid Al-Lafi, Acting Dean of the College; Dr. Tariq Al-Shatti, Acting Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Graduate Studies; Mr. Saleh Al-Musallam, Administrative Director; Ms. Nouf Al-Fadagh, Head of the Office of Consultation and Training; and Eng. Abdullah Rashid Al-Khashm, Director of the Administrative Development and Training Department at the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy.
Finally, Dr. Mohammed Al-Alyan was also honored for his contribution to the success of the training program.
