Office of the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Research, and Graduate Studies organized  a workshop on Elsevier's scientific research tools. It was held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the College of Life Sciences.

This workshop was presented by Mr. Sergey Vernavsky, Regional Director for Africa and the Middle East at the global publisher Elsevier, and was attended by a number of faculty and administrative staff members at the college. Mr. Vernavsky began by welcoming the attendees, noting that the scientific research tools he would present would benefit faculty members at the College of Life Sciences in particular and Kuwait University in general. Elsevier is one of the most important publishing houses for scientific papers, and its research tools are relevant to life sciences research. 

Finally, Mr. Vernavsky was honored by the Acting Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Research, and Graduate Studies, Dr. Hanadi Abdel Salam, in recognition of his efforts.
