As part of the College of Life Sciences' keenness to support sustainable cultural development and enhance knowledge among its students, the Department of Information Sciences at the College of Life Sciences organized a scientific and cultural visit to the Kuwait International Book Fair for the college's students, under the supervision of Dr. Iman Taama Al-Shammari.
During the visit, the student delegation viewed the various pavilions of community initiatives and representatives of various state bodies that would open up horizons for training and development for them, and learned about the services and opportunities offered, as they visited the pavilion of the Public Authority for Youth, the Integrity Authority, and the General Secretariat of Endowments, in addition to the Yarmouk Cultural Center and the Scientific Publication Council affiliated with Kuwait University. These bodies provided a detailed explanation of the initiatives that aim to develop the skills of young people and enhance their ability to benefit from available opportunities.
In this regard, Dr. Iman Al-Shammari stressed the importance of the role played by cultural activities in enriching students’ lives scientifically and socially, developing their skills, and integrating them early into the issues of their community. It also contributes to enhancing their awareness and preparing them for a more aware and cultured future.
